Philippines time zone
The whole country, from Luzon to Mindanao, uses Philippine Standard Time (PhST, often written PHT), which is UTC+8. The IANA zone is Asia/Manila. Republic Act No. 10535, the Philippine Standard Time Act of 2013, makes PAGASA, the national weather service, responsible for keeping official time, and requires government offices and broadcasters to set their clocks by it.
The Philippines does not use daylight saving time. It last tried it briefly in 1990, according to the IANA time zone database, so the gap with the UK only moves when the UK clocks change.
