What the status labels mean
- Confirmed: the publisher, platform holder or broadcaster has announced the exact date.
- Expected: the company has given a window, such as "spring 2027", but no exact day.
- Rumour: the date comes from reports or leaks, not from the company. Treat it as unconfirmed until it moves up a category.
Dates are for the UK. Some games unlock at the same moment worldwide, which can mean an afternoon or evening release in the UK: Gears of War: E-Day, for example, goes live at 8am Pacific time, which is 4pm in the UK. Convert other launch times with the world clock.
GTA 6: what is confirmed
Rockstar Games has confirmed Thursday 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, after two earlier delays. No PC version or date has been announced. Take-Two, Rockstar's parent company, has repeated the 19 November date in its results statements this year.
PS6 and iPhone 18: what is known
Sony has not announced the PlayStation 6. Its chief executive has said that the timing and price of a new console had not been decided, citing component costs, so any PS6 date you see is a rumour. For the iPhone 18, Apple released the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max on 18 September 2026. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has reported that the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e will follow in spring 2027, but Apple has said nothing about them.
